Frühlingsgefühle! | Wunschliste

1.Kräuter-Zuchttöpfe/Hema 2.Outdoor-Lichterkette/Depot 3.Jeansklein/Monki 4.Vase/Olis Divisova 5.Kette/Christina Pauls 6.Pantoletten/Birkenstock 7.Sonnenbrille/Mango 8.Poster/Love Wonder Prints 9.Gartenbuch/Lucy Halsall 10.Tasche/June Shop 11.Shirt/Zara 12.Täschchen/Monki 13.Saatgut/Tiger 14.Tunika/Zara

Pretty advent calendars you can buy online

So maybe you're in a similar situation like me - super busy and caught in between stitching aaaall the christmas orders and renovating our new home (yep, still not done here) - or not so much the DIY type, or just a tiny bit too lazy to whip up a whimsical calendar all by yourself. Then this is for you. I collected a few great advent calenders that are modern and chic, plus: not filled with cheap chocolate.  Ugh, cheap chocolate! We got at least two of those every year when I was a kid and I would always use the chocolate figurines to bribe my two brothers into doing my chores or telling me secrets or letting me play with their toys.Wish that would still work.

I think this year I'll opt for one of those calendars that are premade and only have to be filled. But I also love the poster calendar from Junique! I think it's such a cool idea especially if you're looking for an alternative route to sugary sweets and chocolate.

Ready for warmer days

One week of wonderfully warm days and I'm in full summer mode. Strange how these things happen. These days I repeatedly catch myself dreaming of beautiful Swedish summer nights, where we'd have dinner with all of our friends at a long wooden table in the garden behind our (also Swedish) house. There would grow flowers all around us and I'd wear sleeveless shirts and sandals.
I think our destination for our summer vacation is clear now. It makes me so happy just to look at all the items below. I want to have them all. But Sweden or not, I'm seriously looking forward to summer and everything that comes with it.

Marble. Copper. Black. White.

Marble, copper, black and white are currently my favorite colors for everything (Yep, just called marble a color). You just can't go wrong with a little bit of each and they work really well together, too! Would I set up my entire apartment in marble, copper, black and white? You bet I would! I would combine them with plenty of natural wood, soft fabrics and some warm blankets and BOOM! Instant coziness. The perfect setting to enjoy the (hopefully) last days of winter really. I wanted to switch things up around our home for a long time anyway. It is too colorful, too disorganized, too much IKEA. Gradually, I want to change things to match my style more (and not the style of first-year-of-university-me), add a few nice things, and work with what is already there. The same goes for my closet which I cleaned out big time last month. And with big time I mean BIG time, like, half of it is gone. I'd like to add a few great pieces to my "old classics" that were allowed to stay. The awesome vagabond sneakers have already been ordered, as well as the copper coat hangers. I'm sure those will look very pretty with my dresses! And look at those marble earrings! Oh dear...

June Wish List

Maybe I’ve gone a bit overboard with the color scheme of this month’s wish list, but I honestly don’t care, because it goes perfectly with how I feel now that we’re finally having summer weather around here. 32°C this weekend? Time for some serious swimsuit shopping!
I picked out some essentials for a good start into summer. Including the umbrella. This is Germany. It rains. A lot.

March Wish List

It's time for a new wish list! I know, I know, it's nothing near a regular thing on this blog but I really enjoy sharing some of my favorite findings with you now and then. Nice side effect: I get to play around with the product images in one or a few image editing programs. This time I also tried to make the pictures look like cut out paper pieces. Fun! Although there's room for improvement, I think the result is pretty nice for a first attempt. Oh yes. Wish list. I'm in the mood for soft mint and orange mixed with bold black and white. It's somewhat cool but sweet and goes well with the end-of-winter weather outside. And how cute are those mugs!? I'm IN LOVE! And the whale pillow ... sigh ... I'm not really sure what the boyfriend would say if I came home with that one. On the other hand he's quite used to "unusual" additions to our home. What do you think? Whale with bowler hat on the sofa? Awesome.

New obsessions: hand-knitted socks

I'm a real sucker for hand-knitted socks. Every year when it starts getting cold outside they are my dearest friends. I wear them at home, in boots, in bed when the night is cold but we still sleep with a window open (Oh, the fresh air!) and I frequently try to get my mom to convince her elderly lady patients (she's a physical therapist) to knit me socks. With only little success so far, but I'm working on it.
Now you probably ask yourself why of all things I chose knitted socks as a topic for a blog entry. Simple. I love them. They are warm and cute and handmade. I found, by the way, that hand-knitted socks are warmer than the bought ones and that all knitted socks are warmer than those fluffy ones, and no matter what colors and weird patterns they have, hand-knit socks somehow manage to always look cute as soon as you put them on. And they are awesome for sliding over laminate floors. Just saying.
But enough of the talking, I collected some pretty cool hand-knit socks. Go, check it out and get yourself some socks! Or me. You are also welcome to send me handmade socks or ask your grandma to do so.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7

I wish I could knit my own socks! There are only two problems: I'm afraid of knitting in rounds (So many needles!). I know how to do it, but I'm still afraid of it. And I'm that kind of girl who's really proud when she finished a project but want's to start a different project (or two, or three) immediately. So there's a problem with things like mittens or socks. You have to make two of them. The same. I just can't make myself do the same thing twice. Do you know that problem? Is there a therapy for that?

Have a great week and warm feet!

First Days of Fall Wishlist

Looks like we have to face it guys: Autumn is coming! I can't help but miss the long long warm summer nights, the sun, the warmth, the ice cream dates and the airy dresses. I'm kinda sad it's already over. This year it's especially hard for me to let go of summer, because we were enjoying the most beautiful summer time in Italy just two weeks ago! To make it all a little easier for me and you I collected a few beautiful things in this First Days of Fall Wishlist. It's time for happy warm Autumn colors and hot chocolate and coziness. So: Welcome Fall, let's be friends.

July wish list

Hey everybody! First of all I have to apologize for the quiet around here the last week. Or maybe you didn't notice (In that case I said nothing about it!). I'm in the middle of the final exams for this semester, so I won't get much blog-related work done this next 2 weeks. I'll try to create new blog posts now and then, but it probably won't be every second day. So please be patient. I promise though, that there's be a post with the recipe for those amazing donuts that we had for our tea party a week ago.

But let's talk about the wish list! They're just some things I'd really love to have at this moment.
1- There's the vintage inspired swimsuit from Rey Swimwear, which I absolutely adore, along with all the other swimsuits in the shop.
2- The Beaded Tonala Bib Necklace from Anthropologie
3- The Admire The View Dress form Modcloth must be the most beautiful dress I've ever seen. I'm in love.
4- Baby Owl Clock from Lys Vintage. Actually, I like everything in their shop but unfortunately everything in their shop is a little too pricey for my budget. But if I'll be rich one day...
5- Vintage Numbers Rubber Stamps found on Amazon. Neat.
