never too old for melon shoes

After I wrote about my new obsession with espadrilles I couldn't stop myself from thinking how 'doable' those shoes looked. After all they were originally worn by Spanish and Southern French farmers! So I looked it up, bought fabric, fabric paint and espadrille soles (Handmade espadrilles soles? Yeah...next time maybe!) and - voila!- I did it! I made shoes. Shoes which look like melons. And they actually fit, it's a miracle. I'll post a tutorial soon so you can all have melon shoes!
Summer seems to have left Germany, but I'll be wearing those espadrilles all the time on our vacation in Southern France in September. Southern France. Coincidence? I think no.
