Espadrilles: Summer For Your Feet!

So in case your wondering why I'm talking about summer shoes now, while you're already shopping coats and boots - I'll have to tell you that I've not given up on summer yet, and that some trends (or all trends) need some time to creep up on me. And now that I'm finally in love with espadrilles and also because I feel like I know them all by now (from work), I put together some of my favorites for you!

What I like most about espadrilles is that they come in so many different colors, patterns and materials, there's a pair for everyone and for every occasion. And they're flat. Totally lazy and comfy. It's no secret I'm a sucker for lazy and comfy. Ha! I'd wear a pair of statement espadrilles (neon, studded, sequins) with a simple jeans and airy blouse or shirt basically every day of summer!

March Wish List

It's time for a new wish list! I know, I know, it's nothing near a regular thing on this blog but I really enjoy sharing some of my favorite findings with you now and then. Nice side effect: I get to play around with the product images in one or a few image editing programs. This time I also tried to make the pictures look like cut out paper pieces. Fun! Although there's room for improvement, I think the result is pretty nice for a first attempt. Oh yes. Wish list. I'm in the mood for soft mint and orange mixed with bold black and white. It's somewhat cool but sweet and goes well with the end-of-winter weather outside. And how cute are those mugs!? I'm IN LOVE! And the whale pillow ... sigh ... I'm not really sure what the boyfriend would say if I came home with that one. On the other hand he's quite used to "unusual" additions to our home. What do you think? Whale with bowler hat on the sofa? Awesome.

I'm loving all things pastel these days. I could buy everything and paint everything in pastel colors! They are so sweet and light and instant happiness for me. Just the right colors to have around when winter ends, they feel like spring!

What Kathie liked [in yellow]

Yellow tones are the perfect choice for everything this season! If I were asked to describe the general mood of autumn with colors, I would choose shades of darker yellow and mustard. I associate warmth, coziness and the color of fallen leaves with these tones. And for some sunshine and happiness on rainy days I love the bright yellows! The bright yellow espresso machine would surely make a statement in my kitchen! And that cute yellow owl planter! What are your favorite colors for fall?

Recently, I liked the Zara online shop very much and wanted to share some of my favorite finds. I'm in love with black+studs and blouses of all kinds. I love how you can wear them at any season! They are perfect for light spring and summer looks and they are great for layered outfits in autumn and winter. And I definitely don't have enough blouses in my closet. Oooh and the knitted sweater...

1. Wool military coat. Elegant and comfy at the same time.

2. Studded Oxford shoes. Look at those beautiful studded ornaments!
